Evangelist Juanita Johnson, thank you for being my spiritual mother!  Thanks for teaching me not to worry and not to fear because His eyes is on the sparrow.  I know because He watches over me!

When we first met, I told you that I was like a bird in a cage that had been set free but I was afraid to come out of my comfort zone!  My failure to let go of my crutches, was preventing me from stepping out in faith!  Thanks for the May 5, 2000 lesson on Nicodemus in the 3rd chapter of John.  In this chapter, I learned about  regeneration.
When I looked up regeneration in the dictionary, I found the following definitions:

1.  An act or process of regenerating, the state of being regenerated.
2.  Spiritual renewal or revival
3.  Renewal or restoration of a body or bodily part after injury or as a normal process.

Searching further, I looked up the word regenerate and I found the following definitions:

1. One that is regenerated: is
  A. an individual who is
       spiritually reborn.
  B.  (1) an organism that has
            undergone
            regeneration.
        (2) a regenerated body
            part

I have read that scripture many times but this was the first time, that I truly understood the depth of this text.  As I read renewal or restoration of a body or bodily part after injury or as a normal process, I thought about my accident and the injuries that I sustained.  I thought about the separation and the sanctification process that I have and am going through, since the accident and it was all coming together!

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.  After reading the 3rd chapter of John, the Lord bought to my remembrance, the January 15, lesson from my devotional by Oswald Chambers, "MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST.", entitled "DO YOU WALK IN WHITE?"  The following is an excerpt:

"Buried with Him...that even so we also should walk in newness of life"

"No one enters into the experience of entire sanctification without going through a "white funeral" - the burial of the old life. If there has never been this crisis of death, sanctification is nothing more than a vision.  There must be a "white funeral" a death that has only one resurrection - a resurrection into the life of Jesus Christ.  Nothing can upset such a life; it is with God for one purpose, to be a witness to Him.  have you come to your last day really?  You have come to them often in sentiment, but have you come to them really? Death means you stop being.  Do you agree with God that you stop being the striving, earnest kind of Christian you have been?  We skirt the cemetery and all the time refuse to go to death.  It is not striving to go to death, it is dying, "baptized into His death."  Have you had your "white funeral," or are you sacredly playing the fool with your soul?"

My Utmost For His Highest
by Oswald Chambers

I made the decision to let go (truly let go) and let God take full control of my life.  Which brought me to the 2nd scripture that you gave to me.  The 14th chapter of John.  The first four verses says, Let not your heart be troubled ye believe in God, believe also in me.  In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.  And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.  If I love the Lord, I will serve Him!

Deuteronomy 28th chapter tells me that if I hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all of his commandments,  which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.  And all these blessings shall come on thee and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.  Blessed shall thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.  Blessed shall be the fruit of my body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.  Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.  Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

Evangelist Johnson,  you are truly a woman after God's own heart!  Thank's for encouraging me to be the creative butterfly that God has created me to be! You have truly been a positive influence in my life!

Love your daughter in Christ,
Stacey Chery Lunsford
